David Scott Trail in Meghalaya India
The David Scott Trail has to be one of the most beautiful treks (walks) in all of India. This undiscovered trail, as seen in the photo, is located in a remote part of NE India about one hour from Shillong.
The four hour walk takes you past clear streams, by waterfalls over rushing rivers, through meadows, jungles, valleys and also through a Khasi village on a hilltop. It is pristine and I'm worried that even this small description may bring people who will ruin the perfect beauty of this walk.
David Scott Trail is a remnant of the British and may have only had horse traffic. Once roads are build in this area it will leave the trail abandon. Now for a few local villagers or so it lies waiting as one of the most beautiful undiscovered destination in India.
