Winner of the North East India Photography Contest: July-August 2010
Chillibreeze Solutions Pvt. Ltd. is pleased to award Rs.3,000. to Vaibhav Mehta, who has been awarded the winning photo of the first North East India Photography Contest hosted by Chillibreeze.

Hema’s comments on why she selected: The Children Against the Blue Wall
This picture depicts genuine feelings, fun, and a bit of style. The three kids have three different expressions, quite candid as well. The colors (the dress they are wearing against the blue background) is the best part of the frame. Expressions of children are always from the heart, with no hidden intentions behind it, which is well captured here. It also showcases the woolen clothes the people in North East India wear - again unique.
It has just the right elements and the instant focus of the eye is drawn towards the happy-being of the local kids.
Overall, its very eye catching and pertinent to the contest of NE India.

Vaibhav says, “Of course, thrilled to be announced as the winner. Have participated in a couple of competitions in the past, but never won before, which makes it all the more special! My experiences in remote corners of Nagaland last year gave me access to some truly outstanding people and moments which I tried to capture - much to the amazement of local villagers who looked extremely and puzzled and amused looking at me clicking!
