Schedule of Shillong Autumn Festival, October 2006
This photo is of a group dancers from Nagaland dressed in their tradition tribal customs at the 2005 Shillong Autumn Festival.
The schedule for the 2006 Shillong Autumn is as follows:
- Saturday October 28th - 'Guinness World Record for the largest Drum Ensemble.'
- Monday October 30th - One day festival at Cherrapunjee with traditional and modern dances,food festival, archery competition, kite flying competition.
- Wednesday November 1st - One day event Suntuksiar, Jowai with modern dances, a food festival, a Kite rot building competition highlighting the tradition of the Jaintia people.
- Thursday November 2nd - Downtown Shillong with music, International Street Performers.
- Friday November 3rd - Downtown Shillong with music, International Street Performers as well as local dance and music on stage at The State Central Library.
- Saturday November 4th - Orchid Lake Resort, traditional and modern music and dance,kite flying competition, local boat race, fishing competition, food festival as well as a display of local handicrafts from Meghalaya and North East India.
